Sunfest has been ranked among the top 100 events in the nation in national magazines. Timed to represent a last fling at the end of the summer season, it's a four-day celebration of Ocean City entertainment, arts and crafts, food and drink. There are children's activities on Saturday and Sunday and a rock-climbing wall. This annual local tradition features a treasure hunt with actual treasure: Adeler Jewelers hide gems (in protective pouches of course) underneath the sand. Lucky finders get to keep merchandise totaling approximately $10,000!

Live entertainment will be provided throughout the weekend, including performances from famous classic-rock artists. This year's three headliners are the Marvellettes, famous for the Motown hit "Please Please, Mr. Postman," the Platters, the 50s crooners known for "Smoke Gets in Your Eyes" and "The Great Pretender," and Cornell Gunter's Coaster's, beloved for hilarious and catchy hits like "Yakety Yak," "Poison Ivy," and "Charlie Brown." Additional performing artists will include the Commodores, Rodney Adkins and the Shades of Blue Orchestra.

While you're in town for Sunfest, don't miss the famous Sunfest Kite Festival, where kite flyers come from around the country to show off their hobby. The kites flying over the beach are a truly unforgettable sight.
